Dr. Nektarios Vidakis has served as coordinator, scientific manager, or principal investigator in numerous national and European research and development projects. He maintains an extensive network of partners in universities and research centers in Greece and abroad. Moreover, he ranks within the top 2% of the most recognized researchers internationally, according to the relevant international ranking lists (Stanford list, Scopus). His research work has garnered recognition in numerous research papers by third-party researchers (with <4900 citations and an H-Index of 41).

O Nektarios Vidakis possesses significant measurable administrative experience through his involvement in numerous Boards of Directors and Committees. Notably, he served as President of the Athens Olympic Sports Center "Spyros Louis" from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, he held positions such as President of the Hellenic Karate Federation and the Women's Football Team of OFI (which competes in the First National Team). He has also held executive or non-executive roles in the management of numerous companies. Noteworthy among his roles, he was an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry, elected Vice President of the Center for Business and Technological Development of Crete, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Heraklion 2004 Organization, among others. Dr. Vidakis is proficient in English and French. He is married and has a son who is studying chemical engineering. He was born in 1970 in Heraklion, Crete.
